By plane:

The closest airports are located in Stuttgart, Munich and Frankfurt. Ulm can be reached by train from these airports (approximately 2 hours from Stuttgart and Munich, and 3 hours from Frankfurt), over the central train stations. The train stations are reachable from the airports by subway. Here you can find schedules (search for connections from Stuttgart-Flughafen, Munchen-Flughafen or Frankfurt(M)Flugh. to Ulm)

By public transportation:

Ulm is located at the ICE-track Stuttgart--Munich and can be reached from most of the larger cities in Germany without changing trains. From the central station you can choose between two bus lines that commute to the University about every 10 minutes.

Leave the bus at Universität Süd (both lines) and search for O27. (Refer to the the map of the University for more details)

You can check connections by consulting the Travel Service of DB (german railway) or by the Electronic time table info Baden-Württemberg. A map of the bus lines in Ulm and Neu-Ulm should be available here.

By car:

From Stuttgart or Munich:
Leave the highway A8 at the exit Ulm West. Continue driving on the B10 towards Ulm/Friedrichshafen then take the exit Universität Ulm. After traveling for about one kilometer, make a left turn to the University entering the Albert/Einstein-Allee street. Just after 200 meters take another left turn and go on until you reach the last building on the right side of the Street. You are now in front of O28 which is next to O27. There are various parking lots in the surrounding area (refer to the the map of the University for more details).
From Würzburg: At the junction Elchingen you have to change from the highway A7 onto the highway A8 driving towards Stuttgart. Leave this highway at the exit Ulm West and follow the above explanation.
From Kempten/Memmingen: Leave the highway A7 at the junction Hittistetten driving towards Ulm. Follow the B10 passing through Ulm. Then use the exit Universität Ulm and follow the above explanation.
